Bespoke Woodwork Specialists

Our Own Team

Superior Carpentry Service

As well as being clued up on all aspects of building, the founders of Fender Developments – Matt and Gary – are qualified, talented and experienced carpenters, so we are able to offer impeccable bespoke carpentry and joinery services to our clients.

Carpentry is one of the oldest trades, and remains essential in the construction industry. Our carpenters’ ability, however, goes beyond the “rough” carpentry which involves basic cutting and measuring of frameworks and supports on a building site (as important as that is) into the realms of architectural “finish” carpentry and cabinet making.

Our carpenters are available for all sorts of specialised custom-made finish carpentry projects to enhance your home or add unique touches to your new build, both indoors and out. As a natural material wood is full of character, which mellows and matures over time.

The Timeless Beauty Of Wood

Warm, Rich & Lustrous

Versatile, sustainable wood brings a sense of inherent warmth, comfort and sophistication into your home, so its not surprising our carpenters are passionate about introducing it wherever they can.

Here’s some inspiration to start you thinking about how tactile timber features can make both a functional and aesthetic impact on your home:

  • Exposed wooden beams
  • Wooden kitchen countertops
  • Made-to-measure cabinetry
  • Built in furniture
  • Fitted wardrobes
  • Wood wall panelling
  • Hardwood Flooring
  • Customised wood staircases

Our carpenters can use wood just as effectively outdoors too, crafting attractive and useful bespoke items like decks, benches, pergolas and so much more.

Types Of Timber

Advice from Competent Carpenters

If you’d like to incorporate wood into your existing home, in your renovation project or your new build but aren’t sure how to go about it, we’ll be happy to give you some ideas.

The wonderful thing about wood is that it suits any interior décor – just as alluring in a modern minimalist setting as it is in an historic home.

As well as being talented at carpentry we are also knowledgeable about types of timber, and what is best used where. For example, oak – ever popular – is a hardwood renowned for its toughness, texture and distinct colouration; maple is pale and interesting – perfect for a light, modern interior; and dense walnut works well in industrial design settings.

Our clever carpenters are just as at home replacing roof rafters as they are fitting skirting boards or installing a staircase. If you have need of a competent carpenter, Fender Developments will be happy to help.
